Ultra marathon cycling is popular as a sport in the western world.The pinnacle of this sport is the Race Across America (RAAM) which is a 4,800 km race from the west coast to east coast of the United States of America. Bulldog Sportz's Samim Rizvi was the first Indian to participate in the 2010 edition of this race.
In order to build interest in this sport, Bulldog Sportz is organizing the first Ultra cycling event on 6th and 7th November 2010. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE EVENT
• First of its kind endurance cycling race in India.
• Race being conducted as a single segment race:
300 km Bangalore - Chamundi Hills(Mysore) - Bangalore race to be
completed in 48 hours.
• Cyclist can opt to have support vehicle following them throughout
or ride unaccompanied.
• Time stations en-route at intervals of 60-70 km will provide logistical
and
race support to cyclists.
